This web site is a hybrid between a blog and a static campaign web site. It contains useful campaign information about the Modern Whig Movement and it’s New Jersey 14th District campaign. Unlike most campaign web sites, it also encourages comments from the public on many of its published articles.
Because it is designed to accept public comments and also report news and information as it happens, it is considered an unofficial campaign site. This was preferred over a static site because it allows the testing of opinions, the launching of trial balloons, the brainstorming of ideas, and the free exchange of comments. If official confirmation of any information s desired, contact the campaign at 609-528-4979 or send an email to NJWhig@votegene.com.
This web site has not been given the functionality needed to permit new article submissions directly from the general public. That is due to a password system that needs to be enhanced. However, if anyone has an article that they would like to submit, please send your ideas. We will inform you if we believe that it is an appropriate article and will advise you where to send it.
Many of the articles on this site permit and encourage public comments. There is no need to obtain a password. Just type the comment and submit it
Posting Guidelines
As stated earlier, public comments are welcome. However, since this is a campaign web site, we request all information must be readable and useful.
Slander, defamation, and gutter language is boring and useless. It is good to disagree, but it must be done with common sense, facts and logic. For that reason, we ask that your comments are relevant and appropriate.
For example, “you are a stupid jerk” has no debate value and is boring.
Here is a variation of the same comment that would be useful. “You are a stupid jerk. First, you cited a law that does not exist. Then you said that the law should be enforced…..”
In short, all substantive comments are welcome and encouraged, but stay away from useless nonsense.
Use of Real Names
Preferably, everyone will use a fake name that has no similarity to a real person. A name such as, “The Digital Wiz” would be preferable to a name like “Jack Smith”.
Even though the use of real names is discouraged, we will allow them to be used in most cases. The reason why we do not like real names is because of the difficulty of determining the real identity of the person writing the comment. If you wish, we will create a reserved real name for you – just send an email request.
We reserve the right to erase any comments or articles at any time for any reason. If you’ve posted information that you do not want to lose, we urge you to make a copy of it for yourself.
Although we will attempt to moderate all comments and will attempt to eliminate all abusive and inflammatory nonsense, we might not be able to devote the necessary time to moderate in all cases. Do not hesitate to send us an email with a copy of the URL link (if possible) if you see something that does not look like it belongs on the site.
If you look at this blog as a tool to take back America, it will be interesting and valuable.
